We have some very exciting news to share! Alexis Wilson passed her final CPA test!
Alexis is originally from Elkhart, Indiana. She moved to West Michigan to attend college at Grand Valley State University. GVSU was the perfect place for her because she got to experience traditional campus life while still having exposure to a city. Most of her first couple of years were spent on the Allendale campus, while the majority of her classes were at the downtown campus toward the end of her program. She became involved in campus life by joining the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. Alexis graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
After being an intern with Baker Holtz during the 2019 tax season, Alexis became a full-time employee in January 2020.
Alexis, Austin, and their puppy reside in Muskegon. They live only three minutes from the beach! They adopted their puppy, Tipsy, last summer. She is an adorable and sweet labradoodle.
Outside of work, Alexis loves to travel. During college, she studied abroad in Poland for six months. Her other top travel destinations include Italy, Greece, and the Dominican Republic. She loves to hike, and she is hoping to get out to Colorado this summer.
Anyone who knows Alexis will tell you that she loves pizza. She doesn’t have a favorite brand or restaurant, but she is a big fan of Chicago style pizza. Alexis also loves to shop. She especially likes to find good deals at thrift shops.
Alexis enjoys working at Baker Holtz because she loves her co-workers. She appreciates how they have helped her to grow professionally and continue to challenge her.
