Two things close to Rob’s heart are Grand Valley State University and the West Michigan Environmental Action Council (WMEAC).
Rob says that GVSU is a very special place for him and his wife Andrea. They both have undergrad and graduate degrees from Grand Valley and met at an accounting alumni event in 2007. Today, Robert is the President of the GVSU Accounting Alumni and Friends Golf Outing and believes that supporting GVSU financially and of his time are important ways to continue the tradition they’ve established in West Michigan.
Rob also serves on the board of directors for WMEAC because “Growing up in West Michigan I have always enjoyed the many lakes, rivers and streams that are all around us and believe it’s important for the Michigan economy and overall well-being of our state that we do our part to preserve those resources.”
Rob graduated with a BBA in Accounting and Finance (2004) and a Master of Science in Accounting (2005). At Baker Holtz he focuses on accounting and business consulting services for closely-held businesses and their owners. He is an active member of several associations and enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, relaxing at the beach, golfing, and completing home improvement projects.
