Open Position: Bookkeeper

We continue to expand out team! We are currently seeking a self-motivated Bookkeeper. You will play a crucial role in assisting our clients with their bookkeeping needs. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to multi-task, be detail oriented and have exceptional communication skills. Client confidentiality is a must along with the ability to interact with a wide client base.

What you will do:

· Experience with financial statement prep and analysis

· Experience in general ledger maintenance and journal entries, account reconciliation, and fixed asset maintenance

· Experience with basic tax concepts

· Experience with preparing payroll and all applicable tax returns

· Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office products

· Ability to quickly learn other software applications

· Effective oral and written communication

You must also have the ability to work with privately held businesses on their bookkeeping needs, such as:

· Assist clients with monthly and quarterly bookkeeping

· Assist clients with QuickBooks set up

· Prepare bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and journal entries

· Prepare payroll and payroll tax returns for a handful of clients

· Perform special financial projects and possible basic tax projects as directed by management

· Possible occasional travel to clients’ offices

Our ideal candidate will have:

· Minimum of five years’ experience as a Bookkeeper.

· Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field.

· Prior experience in a public accounting firm is preferred.

· Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and analysis.

· Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Detail-oriented and highly organized.
